Yoshihiro Iwasa
Yoshihiro Iwasa has received his PhD in University of Tokyo 1986. After an experience of Research Associate and Lecturer in University of Tokyo and a visiting researcher at AT&T Bell Laboratories, he became an Associate Professor in Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 1994. He was appointed as a full Professor at Tohoku University in 2001, and then moved to the current position at University of Tokyo in 2010. He has been also a team leader at RIKEN since 2010. Iwasa is a pioneer of the electric field induced 2D superconductivity and the ionic gating technique. His current research interest is physical properties of 2D materials and their heterostructures.
