Ji-Hee Kim is an Assistant Professor in Department of Energy Science at Sungkyunkwan University from 2019. She received her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Department of Physics at Chungnam National University, Korea in 2005, 2007, and 2011, respectively. She was a Postdoctral Associate at Rice University, USA during 2011-2013. She then joined Institute for Basic Science, Center for Integrated Nanostructure Physics, Korea as a research professor during 2013-2019. Now her group investigates ultrafast dynamics of carriers and phonons in photoexcited condensed matters, including carrier multiplication phenomena for ultimate solar energy conversion and novel optoelectronic devices.
