Yong-Hoon Cho is currently a KAIST-Chair Professor and the Head of Department of Physics at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Korea. He is the Founder and Director of the KAIST LED Research Center and the Educational Program for LED founded in 2010. He received his Ph.D. degree in Solid State Physics from Seoul National University in 1997. From 2000 to 2008, he was an assistance/associate professor at Chungbuk National University. In August 2008, he joined KAIST as a tenured professor. He was a visiting scholar at the CEA-CNRS-UJF-joint group (Grenoble, France) in 2002, University California at Los Angeles (USA) in 2004, and University California at Berkeley (USA) in 2012. He has served as Editorial Board Members of Scientific Reports, IEEE Transactions on Nanotechnology, and AAPPS Bulletin, etc. He has more than 220 refereed international publications and 310 international conferences presentations. abstract
