SpeakerKang Pyo So

Dr. Kang Pyo So received his Ph.D. from the Sungkyunkwan Advanced Institute of Nanotechnology (SAINT) at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) in 2012. He was post-doctoral fellow at the Institute of New Paradigm of Energy Science Convergence in SKKU in 2012-2013. Since 2013, he has been a post-doctoral associate in the Department of Nuclear Science & Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He has been working on the development of metal-carbon nanotube (CNT) composites especially on Al-CNT nanocomposites for mechanically strengthened structural materials. Dr. So has paid attention on the developing of industrially scalable process of Al-CNT composites for several years. He has applied/registered >35 technical patents. His current research interests are in the application of Zr-CNTs composites on nuclear cladding materials for improved radiation tolerance. abstract
